What we are seeing in Minnesota is what authoritarianism looks like in real time. Racism, dehumanization, and state-sanctioned violence are tearing at the foundation of this country.

DOJ is out of control. The crime of impeding federal agents requires physical force. Speaking out against the way ICE is being deployed is not a crime.

ICE agents ate at El Tapatio in Willmar, MN, then came back hours later and detained the workers who served them. Turning a meal into surveillance isn’t public safety it’s intimidation. Remember private businesses can refuse service to ICE agents!

“Would your mama be proud of you right now?” a bystander said as agents returned at closing time to nab the workers.

Courts didnt just “start hearing” these cases. Fed’l prosecutors chose to charge “failure of an alien to register” to get a stat, when these folks were almost certainly already detained & in line for deportation. Prosecutors should use their resources for serious crime www.al.com/news/2026/01...

I'm going to be disrespectful for a moment.

The Supreme Court has a majority that is filled by racists, rapists, religious nuts, fascists, transphobics, homophobics, and blackmailed idiots that don't belong anywhere near the Supreme Court.

This shouldn't require saying, but we highlight polls at a time like this because 1) it's heartening to see the American people rejecting fascism, which inspires more to join; and 2) because Ds are under pressure from certain quarters NOT to engage, so we need to let them know what the people want.

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.
