Boy, North Carolina Republicans sure don't want the attached story to circulate. I sure hope that this stupid threat from their spokesperson doesn't boomerang on them and have a lot more people read and share the story, which once again, is conveniently attached below. That would be a shame.

Democrats problem in a nutshell - rinse, repeat - get run over
Democrats are holding a news conference right now to highlight they want to have a bipartisan appropriations process, but Schumer says "Republicans are making it extremely difficult to do that" by "talking about rescissions, pocket rescissions, and impoundment"

Yes, we should stop sending Alabama money that they keep receiving from Blue states
“[These] inner-city rats, they live off the federal government. And that’s one reason we’re $37 trillion in debt. And it’s time we find these rats and we send them back home, that are living off the American taxpayers, that are working very hard every week to pay taxes.” www.al.com/politics/202...
Tuberville says ‘inner city rats’ live off the American taxpayers: Trump should send them ‘back home’

Whatever problems you're experiencing in your life and in our country, I promise you that undocumented migrants are not the source. Harassing, detaining, and deporting migrants will not alleviate your problems. Leave them alone.

So.

Steel production is relatively small slice of the American economy.

Steel itself? *Very widely used throughout the American economy.

See the problem?

(I mean, see the problem beyond the entire global economy being held hostage to the whims of one guy who doesn’t understand the economy?)

Also, the Speaker isn’t a serious person
More fighting with the ref. Also the director of CBO was appointed by Republicans, and served in the Bush administration
Mike Johnson: "I sent my good friend Elon a long text message last night explaining that it can be both big and beautiful. What I wanted to make sure that he understands is that the projection he's referring to is from the CBO. They are historically totally unreliable. It's run by Democrats."

Breaking! Blind squirrel finds a nut
Josh Hawley: "The right thing to do is not to cut Medicaid ... it ought to be just a basic foundational principle: It is wrong to cut healthcare for the working poor. And that's what we're talking about here. My state is a Medicaid expansion state."

Noem: "Thank you Mr President. Thank you so much for dreaming big dreams and doing unprecedented things. Your entire life you have stood for doing things that other people thought they couldn't do and accomplishing unprecedented events and achievements."

A reminder.

Presidents often get too much credit - and blame - for what happens in the economy.

This one really is all Trump

If you're a woman and you vote/voted Republican, I can't possibly understand you at all - unless your goal is to have zero rights in the world or say over your own body
"So who voted for this? I personally don't remember Donald Trump's campaign promise to cut breast cancer research and to make menopause harder for American women,” says Chris Hayes on the Trump admin gutting the first and largest women’s health study.

As long as Trump or Clarence Thomas don't need to disclose their grifts, I mean gifts
Trump signs an Executive Order enforcing Universities like Harvard to disclose if they receive foreign gift money.

Why do we keep putting stupid people on TV? And how exactly did they manage to survive this long in life?
asked on CNN if she's concerned that instances of people being randomly detained and deported might dissuade researchers from coming to the US, an agitated Tammy Bruce says, "I think what dissuades people who have talent from coming to the US is conditions of crime in our cities."

Not if your brain is actually functioning
Biggs: "The people trust President Trump. We knew that this was not gonna be an easy road. I believe President Trump is the ultimate negotiator and we will get there, we're just having a few bumps in the road ... we have to give him a little bit of time to get out of this mess that Biden created."

I grew up around coal miners. For 16 years I was related to many by marriage, including some suffering from black lung and others whose bodies were either broken or on their way to being broken. None of them wanted that life for their kids and those still in it all wanted out. He's a fucking idiot.
Trump: "One thing I learned about the coal miners -- that's what they want to do. You could give them a penthouse on 5th Avenue and a different kind of a job and they'd be unhappy. They want to mine coal. She was gonna put them in a high tech industry where you make little cell phones and things."
