In Canada we do 5 years of residency and have diff concerns than the US. But I 100% agree that GYN surgeons need to be practice ready after residency and reimbursed fairly for the immense value we bring.

Viewpoint: A separate gynecologic surgery residency and adjusted reimbursement policies are needed to improve surgical outcomes and address pay disparities. ja.ma/4nUNHTM

In medicine we’re trained to treat disease, not navigate workplace conflict. It can feel like running a Code Blue without any ACLS cards.

it's CaRMS reference letter season - annual reminder to use a gender bias checker prior to submitting those letters! The bias is unconcious so it's nice to have a third party to help with blind spots.

Some takeaways from #ICRE2025
💡 Balancing #psychsafety with productive struggle is an ongoing art in learning.
🎭 #Improv helps us embody that balance through vulnerability, curiosity, and play.
💙Trust and connection aren’t extras but essential.
Time well spent! @icreconf.bsky.social
