We say goodbye to actor, filmmaker and activist Rob Reiner.

A dedicated storyteller with sincerity that imbued his prolific work and the causes he believed in, Reiner’s heartfelt portrayal of the human condition reminds us of the power of film and its abilities to stay with us.

Great piece on the new Predator movie, which is shockingly good and super fun, even if you think you don’t like the franchise: slate.com/culture/2025...

To describe the current state of the world as a daily show of deepening horrors is a massive understatement.

However, I read something today that I think more people should see and read.

I hope she doesn't mind my me sharing it here.

this is the best thing i've read explaining today's developments. ryan goes through each of the bullet casings and contextualizes them. but he also contextualizes the shooting itself in a terrifying way

Superman, Star Wars, Star Trek, X-Men.

If you are upset because you think your favorite characters are woke or the stories are progressive, then I’m sorry to say but you never understood the characters or the stories. Comics are political. Sci-Fi is political.

I want to reiterate that countless conservative judges issued universal injunctions against the Biden administration, and the Supreme Court never halted the practice. Now, barely five months into Trump's second term, the court puts an end to these injunctions. A brazen double standard.

Today they have crossed a deep red line.

Many people will say this but X-Factor 87 and his runs on that book in general are some of the best comics in history this doesn’t even get to his incredible run on Hulk so sad

Can someone explain why we need an endless news cycle on Biden being old? We know he’s old. Voters thought he was too old that’s why his polling was so bad. I don’t understand what there is to reconcile with? Yes, people should have stepped in earlier? But it’s very hard to take the car 🔑s away.

I don't think people realize that in important respects tariffs are now higher & more inflationary than what was announced on last Wednesday.

Since then we've gone from 54% to 125% on China, our 3rd largest trading partner. That outweighs delaying the increases on 70+ others.

I don’t think people are paying enough attention to the fact that the North Carolina court of appeals just ruled that 65,000 votes don’t count, and that the Republican Supreme Court candidate who lost actually won.

This will be appealed, but make no mistake: they’re trying to steal this election.
