As many folks point out in the comments and QTs here, this obviously opens the door to dumbass eugenics shit, and I think that's precisely why so many dipshit racists emphasize IQ so much. It's a useful arrow in their quiver for promoting race based pseudoscience, this ad being an excellent example

I've posted about this before but one of the most memorable lessons I learned in grad school was about how IQ tests are not a very good indicator of overall intelligence because you can just train for the test - we did this by taking weekly IQ tests and getting better at it over time

IQ is a measure of how good you are at IQ tests, which is something informed by how familiar you are with taking academic tests (& thus the quality of your school, which is in part determined by your parents' wealth, etc). there's nothing in particular that makes them a good test of intelligence

And I probably should clarify that invariably when they look into why x demographic has a high or low IQ, it almost always boils down to things like:
- Access to education
- Fluency in the testing language
- Disability specific to the test
- Familiarity with the test
- Test anxiety
- Access to education
- Fluency in the testing language

And as other people pointed out, you always have to imagine the worst case scenario. What happens to people with disabilities in the in-between time before this supposed utopia? Who decides what counts as a disability? As Imani Barbarin says, “disability is a framework, not a list.”

People with disabilities don’t need to be gotten rid of. Society needs to be accessible. Y’all would rather research eugenics before you add ramps, braille, and automatic doors to public spaces.
