53 NYT articles by Maggie Haberman about Hillary’s emails, 48 about Benghazi, not one about Trump’s mafia ties or Epstein.

Tells you everything you need to know.

We always look back at how overboard the NYT went on Hillary's emails, but I think it's also informative how underboard they went on Access Hollywood tape. The very first story led with his apology, as if that was more important than the existence of the tape itself.

Almost none

Pretty much

So there’s no

Maybe it’s just the Humanities professor in me, but let it be noted that events of today (ahem) have demonstrated the value of being able to assess a large volume of qualitative data and do careful textual analysis with deep attention to context.

Have you ever met someone so dumb that you have to take a deep breath before responding to them?

I dunno but if you’re feeling defensive about NYT taking heat for decades of feigning ignorance on Epstein, maybe sit in your feels and reflect. Because without any public whipping at all @jkbjournalist.bsky.social went at the story head on and now we’re here.

Whoa! Immigrants come here with nothing and the next thing you know they’re buying houses that established citizens cannot afford? Those enterprising newcomers sound like just the sort of folks we need. Never mind that JD’s premise is as BS as his 30M number.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

a 17 year-old girl is still a child
a 16 year-old girl is still a child
a 15 year-old girl is still a child
a 14 year-old girl is still a child
a 13 year-old girl is still a child
a 12 year-old girl is still a child

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

I'm one of the people who has been called sensationalist & other things for constantly pointing to what appeared to me to be a constant shift rightward in the Overton Window but now we are having a national mainstream conversation about how old 15 really is

Fascinating that 'moral clarity' becomes laughable on the right when it's about sex w/minors, letting women bleed out in the parking lot, or running concentration camps but becomes the driving force behind starving the poor and compulsory heterosexuality

I’m thinking about all of the pushback and anger I’ve encountered in academia when I’ve tried to talk about gendered violence and harassment. I’ve spent decades being I treated like I’m prudish, paranoid, and overreaching for calling out male behavior.

This stuff is legitimately triggering.
Grad Students: The Larry Summers news should shed any shred of imposter syndrome you've felt in academia. Clearly, academics* can be far from perfect (at everything from spelling to relationships to human decency) and still make it all the way to the top of ivory tower.

🚨 Israel accused of harvesting Palestinian organs

Gaza’s Health Ministry says bodies returned by Israel show “clear evidence of organ theft through precise surgical incisions,” with organs including “the heart, liver, kidneys, and corneas removed,” according to the ministry’s Director-General.
🚨 Director-General of Gaza’s Health Ministry:

“We have received 315 bodies so far, and only 89 of them have been identified through clothing or a wedding ring or simple markings. Yesterday, we received a new body that had been mauled by trained predatory dogs, and the marks of the attack were...

You do know that everyone in both parties involved with this are going to have to go to prison right ?

Like all of them at a minimum must never be allowed to see freedom again.

Every one must go. It’s essential to the reestablishment of democracy that this entire network must go down.
Finally have confirmation that the 'liked them young' guy who was redacted is indeed Bill Clinton.

The persuasiveness of this argument depends entirely on people being completely ignorant of anything that has been published in the New York Times at any point in the last 20 years.

Like all elites when the unwashed have the temerity to call them out, they talk to us like we’re stupid.
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.
