This book is so empowering because above all it takes away the mystery of abuse and what lies beneath is so utterly mundane. Like. They all follow a formula. They aren’t special. You aren’t special to them. It’s banal and dull.
I'd also recommend "Why Does He Do That?", it's a book on what causes men to be abusers and the different archetypes they can take.
