I really hate this "we need to rebuild trust" garbage.

First, it's super insulting to the great journalists working hard at CBS.

Second, it's objectively false! CBS is one of the most trusted news brands in America! And places like Fox, NY Post, Axios, Politco, etc are all much less trusted!

YouGov polling results showing CBS News in the Top 10 most trusted news outlets, with a +16 overall trust rating.

The White House is blatantly violating the Constitution, ignoring Congressionally-allocated spending. Approving any budget would put a stamp of approval on the end of checks and balances.

It'll hurt, yes, but it's time for opposition. The political costs will mostly fall on the people in charge.
