"Machine learning" is, by design and intent, a tool to make computers do an abstracted task with acceptable statistical success, without understanding *anything* about the task. ML algorithms never learn anything about winning a game or writing something, and can never do so. The very name is a lie.
A workforce trained to normalize generative AI is a workforce that *will not be able to understand* people talking about creativity and pride in gaining skills and the value of their labor. It'll be alien to them.

A lot of the same tools used by "Bad AI" are used in procedural generation, texturing, animation engines that try to simulate physics use math that could be called "AI" - because the only real criteria for calling a program "AI" is if it was a tool developed by teams trying to produce Actual AI.

I recently went over some old notes of mine about so called "AI", in which I'm reminded "AI" is not a well defined research program, much less a strictly defined suite of programming tools. Basically people have been calling AI anything the MIT labs and similar have tried *on the way* of getting AI
