I just figured out what happened…

At rehearsal I set up my bass player’s unit, and connected it to my laptop to program my presets. I noticed that his unit was on firmware 2.0.0, and mine is 3.0.0.

My band has a service called Celebrity Sit-In where we invite well-known musicians to play a half dozen of their most famous songs with us at events we have been contracted to play. We recently performed with KT Tunstall. She was truly delightful!

Oof. Now the Friedman IRX has died... again. It was an open-box unit when I bought it, and died the first time I used it. Friedman very kindly sent me new tubes, and it's been fine for a year.

I re-contacted them and Dave immediately authorized a replacement unit...

I've been programming the #EventideH90 since 10am today to get all my basic sounds back together. The good news is I feel like I am back in a super solid place (where I was with the H9), and a place I could not get to with the Source Audio Collider + Line 6 HX One combo. (1/9)

Interesting… Diving into the (extremely sophisticated) routing options in the #Eventide H90, which has 4 inputs and 4 outputs. Turns out you can route these any way you want, in series or parallel, and use them as a little patch bay. 1/n

Turns out 4hrs was not enough time to get this thing ready for a gig 🤣😩 Trying to grok the UI, configure the MIDI, download & poke around editor apps, do the firmware update, create PRE/POST routing, and modify/save presets was too much.

That said, I can tell this is the droid I've been looking for
