Hands down my favourite slide and biggest takeaway from @steamtraen.eu's talk, made possible by @samwestwood.bsky.social and Nick's 2-hour sacrifice albeit on holiday.

Very much looking forward to talking about RegCheck at the KCL Open Research Summer School on Thursday.

Not so much looking forward to the current task at hand: preparing the presentation and workshop on a 20 hour journey from Tokyo to London 🥲

Thanks @samwestwood.bsky.social for your words:

"The LNL network isn’t about perfection. It’s about persistence, creativity, and community. This year’s retreat more than ever proved that when those ingredients come together, positive change doesn’t just feel possible – it feels certain."

Neurofeedback has been touted as a promising non-pharmaceutical treatment for ADHD, but does it actually work?

No.

Current forms of NF did not significantly improve blinded reports of symptoms or performance on task based measures of cognition.

It’s because the UK has a poorly functioning health service, government, and legal system meaning that no amount of safeguards will prevent unnecessary loss of life.

What are you favourite PubPeer comments/exchanges?

I'm planning on writing a companion (or "Hitchhiker's") guide for academics, one section will be on how to evaluate papers.

Remarkable sleuthing.

Authors reply to state that the reported results do differ and were from separate samples. Sleuth extracts vector graphics from pdf and makes this a to show they are definitely the same data (see pubpeer comment for moving gif)

Don’t double down!
