The short, medium, and long term consequences of what Trump and Musk have done will be devastating. Families will be ripped apart, careers destroyed, and the US will be totally unable to respond to whatever political or financial crisis inevitably results from Trump's cruelty and incompetence.
these mass firings are going to be a generationally defining event in ways we are not even vaguely prepared to deal with. in addition to the decimation of the infrastructure needed for so many things to function, the personal and familial level impact of these actions is gonna ricochet
