I'm not seeing any saviors in the mix. Maybe that's good, I can settle for someone I think can be pushed around by the voters who put him in office.
How former Republican Geoff Duncan plans to win Georgia for Democrats
With a pitch to Democrats, independents and 'disgusted' Republicans, Geoff Duncan says he's the only Democrat who can beat Republicans in 2026.

I am seeing that 60 Minutes will be exploring the mysteries of bourbon barrels this week. Hard-hitting stuff, can cigar humidors be far behind?

This recent stretch of games should just about do it for the Trae Young era for the Hawks. Dunno if it will, but it should.

The trailer for the Stranger Things Christmas drop shows several characters crying in rapid succession. That's too much crying.
The Stranger Things watch will not be completed by me, a notorious completist. Good luck to these men and women in their quest to finish high school.
It Might Be the Most Popular TV Show in the World. It Keeps Getting Worse and Worse.
There’s a pretty glaring problem with Stranger Things’ final season.

Jimmy Stewart was, like, 6'5" in riding boots. The fellow cast here appears to have wandered in off the set of a Tom Cruise biopic.
Hollywood: this is a serious biopic, not an SNL skit

George Costanza: i'm in it

Rob Riggle: and i'm in it

Shooter McGavin: me too i'm in it

Guy Playing Jimmy Stewart: and i'm doing the silliest voice you ever heard

Movie: by the way it's just called "Jimmy"

Investors that sold Paramount Skydance (NASDAQ: PSKY) stock short on the day that Bari Weiss took over CBS News are up about 30% today. The S&P 500 is up 1.4% over the same period.
Ratio me. Please. It's a badge of honor. If you don't like a link, go follow some chicken-heart who needs the approval of the thought-police. Caitlin Flanagan of @theatlantic.com is a tremendous writer and this piece is an excellent read. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Sean McDermott is right, but still an awful challenge. You want more plays with the clock running there.

"Bravado" from "Baby Come Back" by Player ("All day long, wearing a mask of false bravado...")
Here's a question I've enjoyed asking on various social media platforms. What are vocabulary words you have learned from songs? For example, I learned the word "raze" from REM's World Leader Pretend.

I love these crappy bowl games. Which team's backup QB who hasn't played all season can overcome its defense's unwillingness to tackle?

WTO/99 was an incredible time capsule (and trip down memory lane for me). I had a question prepped about agitprop but it wasn't the crowd for it. Don't cheer 9/11, folks, even if you're too young to remember it.
In honor of tonight's screening of WTO/99 at The Plaza Theater in Atlanta, I'm breaking out the hoodie I wore all that week in Seattle. Tear gas odor long gone!

City of Atlanta has upped its PR for extending old tax increment financing districts until 2055 by cherry-picking likable projects & implying they can only be funded via TIFs/TADs (rather than general revenue spending/bonds). It’s really that TADs give mayor largely unaccountable spending authority.

Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.
