Four R senators and four R House members could announce they're caucusing with the Dems for now, and will vote for Schumer for Majority Leader and Jeffries for Speaker, because the threat to the rule of law is dire. Meanwhile, they'll work with Democrats to construct guardrails against dictatorship.

Donald Trump is deporting legal US residents to a foreign gulag, and he has stated publicly that he is moving on to citizens next. This is a Constitutional crisis. Will a single Republican stand up for our Constitution?

After the very bad news of the Republican CR passing the Senate, there was a bit of good news: my bill to reverse its outrageous attack on the District of Columbia's ability to control its OWN tax dollars passed unanimously.

I urge my colleagues in the House to pass it ASAP.

The Columbia deportation case is bad enough on its own — but the precedent is worse. People can be deported without breaking a law because of a vague reference to foreign policy.

Democracy is burning, and we need sites like Bluesky more than ever. And Senator Durbin wants to repeal 230, which would massively stifle the ability of sites like Bluesky to exist, while massively empowering X and Meta.

Why?

It seems that someone in his office doesn't understand 230.
It’s time to repeal Section 230. We must be able to take social media companies to court for addicting kids and enabling drug trafficking on their platforms.

The attempted mugging of a visiting president was about the world war that Musk, Trump, and Vance have chosen. If we attend to what Vance and Trump said yesterday, we can work our way to the unreason of American policy, and to the chaos that will follow.

Finding solace in solitaire in these rough days, I am wondering why the algorithm is convinced I am a male. I get countless ads for collared shirts for men, soft slacks to help my bulging thighs, etc.
Maybe the new world order has already infected my Solitaire ads.

Literally.

Download the Constitution because it no longer appears on whitehouse.gov.

When you search for it, a lot of other bullet point shit appears (ending birthright citizenship, etc).

There's no other way to spin it. That means more money out-of-pocket for seniors and families.
