I've seen some great games made in RPG Maker 2003, but I gotta say 2000 exists as an alternative to 2003 if you want a dragon quest instead of a final fantasy.

I got wireless headphones yesterday, and I'm having to untrain myself from being tethered to the computer. I don't need to keep moving the cable out the way, I can spin in my chair without repercussions. I don't need to keep thing in arms reach of my desk anymore

"Its a placeholder, we just missed one" you know is the biggest load of shit if you have ever made a game befor. we have proper placeholder textures for a reason, so you CANT miss them. otherwise how would you know if something is broken or not finished if your "placeholders" blend in to prod?
