Finally got a switch 2 and legends ZA (thank you to the hubby 🥰)

IOW, literal machines dont want to acknowledge context and power because that would put more burden on the powerful and the language they use; it has nothing to do with protection and everything to do with the banal civility of a 7-Eleven coffee line.
Language is about context and relationships (including power).
If you can’t say “eat shit” to a rude stranger or “b*tch!” to a friend without the Literal Machine™️ flagging and banning you, the machine shouldn’t be involved.

A really important point. You can't "solve"misinformation without understanding the ways beliefs function as identity markers more than attempts to represent reality accurately gone awry.
Misinformation *is* central to democratic problems today, but the solution is *not* to correct such epistemic failures directly. Instead, we must address them at their roots, in social identity.
