Everyday some dude, and it's almost always a dude, coming out with a story about how they used AI to do a terrible job at something we were already able to do and then gleefully scream that the AI is coming for the jobs of the people that would do a way better job at whatever shitshow they created.

All the things we used to do ourselves can now be done by an idiot who wastes more water and energy than ever before. The benefit is, it sucks at everything!

the thing that scares me most about American politics, aside from the very real weird nazi shit they're already doing right now, is the personality cult around politicians. I can only speak for where I live, but people would rather be caught dead than to wear clothing with political party logos.

Something I think was sorely missing from my software dev education was software architecture patterns. Having now worked for a couple of months in a team that spends a lot of effort on following TDD, DDD and hexzgonal architecture, it's pretty clear that I have a lot of catching up to do.

It is 1 minute past 2 at night, I'm laying awake in my bed. The first instagram reel I see is of an account called ''traditiondefender''. The reel is supposed to show us images of traditionalism. It contains images of nazis.

The instagram algorithm has been feeding me non stop videos of little shits of all ages eating badly cooked steak and advocado from wooden cutting boards. Every second reel is about how bad seed oils are and how good raw milk is. It's my personal hell, but the cracks are showing.

Picking up java after 6 years of not using it has been really fun. It has a certain flow to it. But having to learn weird compiler quirks for the OCA and OCP exam is a bitch. Like why is 'int x = 10; x+++x; what is the value of x?' a thing? Why do I need to know this? Thank god it's a compile error.
