I don't believe in mob violence nor government censorship of speech but it's very hard not to notice that the government that are imprisoning pensioners for opposing genocide with writing on cardboard are worried that people might not be free enough to call for acts of violence against trans women.

Now we know why they never used facial recognition technology, at the Tommy Robinson's Unite the Kingdom march. When asked about this? Mark Rowley didn't think it warranted being used for 100,000 people. Despite many having criminal records for violence, spousal abuse and other crimes.

I'm fed up of people who act like lesbians aren't a marginalized demographic. Our art isn't systemically excluded from most publishing avenues.

This was a big split in the early 00s movement against Blairite ID cards. The libs and the trade union left all ended up in bed with UKIP in No2ID and got completely outflanked when we got a limited scheme aimed at asylum seekers which was supported by the racists.

As a taster for anyone interested in what I'm saying re funding, the previous No2ID campaign allegedly did at least some of its organising through 55 Tufton Street way back during the Blair years. That office complex has since become well known for reactionary bullshit.

Let's say hypothetically, there was an investment in modern slavery that is going to be put at risk by digID.

If we don't figure that out, we might risk having a campaign against ID that's focused entirely on an individualistic "privacy" that entrenches the power of slave lords.

Because I think it's important whatever position the UK left takes on ID that we work out why some of the far right hold the same position as us (against Digital ID) and that we curate our resistance to ID to actively oppose the oppression the far right are hoping to achieve by defeating DigID.
