This is just getting more and more depressing by the day. AI is the death of human intelligence and curiosity.
Rereading Asimov as an adult during this AI hype cycle is eye opening. The Robot and Foundation series are a cautionary tale. In them developing AI and robotic servants made humans cruel, complacent and ultimately they stopped evolving. They only recovered once robots were destroyed and forbidden.

Rewatching Mad Men with @socktree.bsky.social and we got to the part with Roger Sterling's heart attack. I am so grateful she made me start taking better care of myself. My dad had his first at 43, and I just hit 49 with no heart issues so far. It's one of my biggest fears.

There is a reason why Witkoff did not want any officials with the State Dept or anyone else present during his many meetings w/Putin - he didn’t want witnesses to his treasonous behavior. Highly unusual, but makes perfect sense when you consider that he only cared about Russia.
