This election was about emotions, not economics
Harris helped save the teamsters’ pensions and their membership preferred the candidate who wants to take away their right to organize. They didn’t care.

I have been thinking long and hard about ways of maintaining our pride and courage in the face of the fascist regime about to begin.

It occurs to me that as Trump and his policies and his agents cause the deaths of our fellow citizens, we should honor their names and faces and stories publicly.

If I were in the White House, I would want to know why Artem Klyushin is offering a steady stream of policy picks to Musk and Trump, and why they keep mirroring those recommendations and talking points. I’d want to know why @FBI is apparently dead.

Thank god we killed bin Laden. At this point, it feels like Trump might appoint him to lead the national counterterrorism center if not.

Billionaire grifters are about to dismantle your government. So instead of your tax dollars going to your Medicare or your Medicaid or your affordable care act or to veterans benefits or your social security - it will go to THEM in the form of tax cuts for the wealthy.

One of the things that angers me most about the Trump era is that none of what he or his party are doing is deemed precedent. Meaning: if any future Democratic Congress or POTUS does even 0.1% of what Trumpism has done, you’ll be able to hear media and the GOP howling from Mars.

And we all know it.

When I said that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. being DHHS Secretary would kill people, you all understood that I was being literal, right?

To underscore: Kennedy Jr. will actually kill people. Mostly children. And only a contemptible monster like Trump would position him to do that and think nothing of it.

He also championed a Samoan anti-vaxxer tied to the 2019 lethal eruption that killed scores of children.

After reading that piece in the Post about Clyde's disinformation campaign, I don't see sense in continuing to talk about politics the way we normally do. There is no left-right spectrum. Policy isn't relevant to campaigns. The Democrats need to meet the infowar head on or keep losing.

Of course. You wouldn’t want the FBI to uncover any national security threats in your national security team, after all.

Famously, Washington ordered the inoculation of his army against smallpox in 1776-1777, making it mandatory for all new recruits to be inoculated

Historians posit the “pox Americana” was one of the key factors in the defeat of the Continental Army’s invasion of Canada in 1775-1776
Humanity has been so successful at vaccinating against preventable diseases that we often forget these viruses used to be *the* leading battlefield killer - and may be again.
