From Ohio, with love. Words. Pixels. Waveforms. Comms.
Watching Aaron Rodgers implode so spectacularly in the waning moments of this #WildCard game is, well, it’s just wonderful.

The idea there is a “war on protein” is just precious. Something to chuckle about the next time I pass the protein laced Pop-tarts at Kroger.

Big fan of the season premiere of #ThePitt.

I hope they freaking do. Good for them.

Great, so not only will we see no actual change in autism rates, we *will* see an increase in a variety of preventable illnesses.

Just circling back to this one because Day 1 of the offseason the #Bengals announced they’re retaining both head coach Zac Taylor and director of player personnel Duke Tobin and Taylor stated he didn’t foresee any changes with the coaching staff. We’re off to great starts, everyone.
I look forward to the #Bengals talking a lot over the offseason about improving and doing things better while simultaneously doing nothing at all to address the problems plaguing them.

I have to think there is opportunity for a disruption in the refrigerator market wherein a new company manufactures a refrigerator you simply plug in, adjust the temp with a knob, and go in about your life.
Samsung upgrades its Family Hub refrigerators with AI features, such as voice control to open and close the door and Gemini-powered AI Vision to track inventory (Jennifer Pattison Tuohy/The Verge)

It’s worth noting The Wallflowers did a cover of Bowie’s “Heroes” and it’s very, very good. Sadly the only place you can find it is on YouTube and the Godzilla (1998) Soundtrack I have in a box somewhere in my basement.

We doin’ insider trading on international extradition now?
“What appears to be a newly created account appeared to invest $30,000 Friday in Maduro's exit. After Maduro went into custody Saturday morning, that same investor netted $436,759.61.”
Someone made $400K by predicting Maduro's capture. Here's what happened
The winnings come as the rules governing prediction markets are still evolving.

I’d like to see the whole “FAFO” thing die in 2026. It was only kind of funny for half a minute with the middle-aged dude and his whiteboard explaining it, but it’s really run its course and we can pack that one in now.

Really feels like crypto mining cut the legs out from under PC building, and now AI is going to finish the job.

No, I'm not doing that. He can go tell on me if he wants. These dudes are all a bunch of whiners, I swear.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says people should move beyond calling AI 'slop'

"We need to get beyond the arguments of slop vs sophistication and develop a new equilibrium ... that accounts for humans being equipped with these new cognitive amplifier tools as we relate to each other"

The WSQK radio station in #StrangerThings5 is a whole vibe. I’ve been in a number of radio stations and none of them, not one, were even remotely that cool.

It's 2026.

Things many American school kids probably don't know how to do:

* heat pieces of wrought iron or steel until the metal softens enough to shape with a hammer, anvil, and chisel into horseshoes for the local farrier

* tell time using the village sundial
It's 2026.

Things many American school kids probably don't know how to do:

* Dial a rotary telephone

* Tell time from an analog clock

* Read or write cursive

* Decipher Roman numerals

* Navigate with a paper map or use a compass

* Balance a checkbook

(Please add more below)

I actually enjoyed the #StrangerThings finale. The season was kinda overwrought with some bad writing, but the finale had some elevated moments and overall was a satisfying conclusion. To borrow from Wayne Campbell, “They did the Return of the King ending.”

I love that ESPN decided that because the Cotton Bowl is in Texas to program the crappiest country music imaginable.

Well that first half certainly wasn’t good for OSU. #CottonBowl

Go Bucks.
Most weeks teams stay away from Denzel Ward. This week the Steelers tried to throw his way 3 straight plays to win the game. His response:

"I don't know who's bright idea it was to try me for the game 3 plays in a row"

I really do hate how much of this “pivot to video” for podcasts is driven by social media marketing.
