Nigel Farage & #ReformUK are in the pockets of the #FossilFuels industry. Now Reform has opened floodgates to dark money in UK politics by being the 1st party to accept crypto donations. Pl ✍️ to call for a ban on untraceable crypto donations to political parties act.38degrees.org.uk/act/stop-sha...

I'm sure there are some great people working hard on CCS, and in good faith, but the way it has been being used to excuse and extend the extraction, sale and consumption of fossil fuels has been shameless, and I have no doubt that history will judge it harshly.

Once again: renewable energy is far cheaper than fossil fuels. This bullshit is wearing pretty thin.

Good morning with good news: Solar generated 39% of California's electricity from January-July 2025, up from 33% in 2024.

Fossil fuels plunged to just 26% of CA's power in Jan-July 2025, down 40% in July 2025, compared to July 2024!

Energy Secretary Chris Wright: "Reducing the CO2 emissions, that's expensive but really wholly unnecessary. Extremely expensive, very little benefit from that. Again, it's just returning common sense. Americans want affordable energy."

London has achieved the impossible: its air quality levels just met legal nitrogen dioxide limits for the first time. Experts said this would take 193 years, but under Mayor of @london.gov.uk @sadiqkhanlondon.bsky.social’s visionary leadership, it was accomplished in just nine years.

We are in the foothills of a solar-wind-battery civilisation. This is our best chance of avoiding catastrophe. But it threatens the profits of fossil fuel companies & nations - so these are pouring money into right-wing populism to stop the transition. This seems to me the biggest story in politics.
