My parents raised me with Maine values: If you want something, you work hard. No shortcuts, no excuses.

I’m ready to put in the work to win this race, protect our democracy and way of life, and deliver results for working Mainers.

Starting today- you can now renew your REAL ID online- 24/7 no appointment necessary! I’m proud of the work we’ve done to modernize the BMV. As your next governor, I’m going to make government work better to make your life easier.
Most Mainers now able to renew REAL IDs online, officials say
Secretary of State Shenna Bellows says most Maine residents will be able to do online REAL ID renewal.

It was great to join the Hallowell American Legion Post 6 for their ceremony to honor those who have served our country.

My late grandfather Bill Bellows shaped the leader I am today. He left college for service in WWII.

A great day for news coming from the Supreme Court!

My proudest accomplishment is the 7 years I spent on the executive committee for the marriage equality campaign. I'm glad that SCOTUS is not going to go back on their word, but let's be clear: the freedom to marry will always be protected in Maine

Thinking about the terrible deal Schumer and Senate Dems are about to do with Trump. If they can’t stand up now when the Constitution is in tatters, seniors and kids are hungry and industries are on the brink of disaster, when will they? Where’s the fight?

From dinner with Maine State Employees Association SEIU Local 1989 to a Hunter’s Breakfast in Skowhegan to a YMCA youth in government conference to a Brunswick house party, it was a fun and inspiring weekend getting out across Maine!

Welcome good news for Maine.

Winning in 2026 starts today.
The factional grifters will hate this, but the Mamdani-Spanberger-Sherrill axis actually suggests the outlines of a broad, emerging Dem coalition organized around both anti-Trump *and* affordability politics, not a party bitterly divided against itself.
These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.

Don’t forget to vote today! Your vote is your power.

And don’t forget to thank your clerks and election workers.

So much fun to travel around to schools yesterday and today to see students in action participating in Maine’s mock election. Maine students vote in first mock referendum election

Maine students vote in first mock referendum election
At Morse High School in Bath, one of the 78 schools that participated in Tuesday's mock election, students said they felt informed about the red flag referendum, less so about the voter ID proposal.

The rainy day is here. We need to feed our neighbors - our kids, our seniors - the 170,000 Mainers who will be hungry without SNAP as we move into the holidays and then winter.
Food bank director: “for every meal that a food bank provides, the SNAP program provides nine. There’s no way we can meet that gap.”

Thanks to the Knox county dems for a great afternoon! It’s always great to be with folks and get to hear what they think Maine’s next governor needs to know.

As we reflect on the loss of 18 Mainers in the Lewiston shootings two years ago today, we honor the friends and the family members who were lost and the impact they made in our community.

It was great to celebrate an evening for the environment with @maineconservation !

Climate change is real, and Maine needs leaders who will take bold action to make Maine a leader in sustainability and climate resilience.

We had a great time in Boothbay last night talking about hope and courage.

I was honored when Abbe said I was one of the best listeners in politics because it’s core to who I am. As governor, I’ll listen first and always put the people of Maine over everything else.

Today, I’m joining the majority of Mainers in my support of Question 2, to bring extreme risk protection orders to our state. This law will save lives and Mainers deserve to know where the next Governor will stand on this critical issue.

Amazing turnout everywhere! I was in Yarmouth, Saco, South Portland & Portland today. 250 years ago today, after the burning of Portland by the British, our ancestors said, “No King but God.” Today thousands of Mainers echoed our ancestors in saying No Kings. It was a good day for democracy.
The last several seconds of Maine Secretary of State @shennabellows.bsky.social’s inspiring words at the terrific #NoKings rally here in Saco, Maine. A huge turnout!

Yesterday was a great day to celebrate what makes Maine great! After celebrating Maine businesses with the Maine Chamber of Commerce, we met with a group of Mainers in Bangor about what they want to see in our next governor.

On Indigenous People’s Day I’m proud to reiterate my support for tribal sovereignty on day one.

I’m proud of where I come from. The working class taught me grit, gratitude, and how to stretch a dollar.

I’m fighting for a Maine where a hard day’s work means you can stand tall and sleep easy.

Spending time with Mainers, getting to hear what’s on their minds, is my favorite part of running. From Lewiston to Brooksville, folks are concerned about the cost of living, protecting health care and preserving our democracy.
