I've updated my human spaceflight lists at https://planet4589.org/space/astro/web/index.html
By my definitions, Peggy Whitson was space traveller no. 426, now on her 4th flight. Shoffner, Al-Qarni and Barnawi are space travellers nos. 645, 646 and 647.

In 5 hours, 4 humans (private mission) are launching to space. Space travel is the bleeding edge of the engineering humans have created as a species. This is why I believe in us. Ad astra. 🚀
SpaceX rocket 'go' to launch four private astronauts on Ax-2, a mission filled with 1sts, today
Axiom Space's Ax-2 is the first private mission commanded by a woman and carries the first Saudi woman into space and first Saudis to visit the International Space Station.

So First Republic failed like three weeks ago, and apparently I still have to pay my mortgage. I was really hoping for a free house here...

The closest thing to life off Earth, without leaving Earth. This documentary is da bomb.
Check out this 50-minute Documentary following the lives and research of an 8-person crew at the Mars Desert Research Station.

I produced it and am super proud. Please check it out!

ANALOG: A Documentary of the ARG-1M Analog Mars Mission
ANALOG is a documentary following crew ARG-1M at the Mars Desert Research Station as they simulate a 2-week mission to Mars. The crew consists of students and faculty of the American Public University System in the Space Studies program that are a part of the APUS Analog Research Group (AARG). They conduct research in analog habitats to further the goals and progress of human space exploration to the Moon and Mars. But this endeavor needs more than rocket scientists and astronomers. Mars needs masters of business, communications, arts, accounting, janitorial services and hot dogs stands! If you've got an idea, than consider pursuing a B.S. or M.S. Space Studies at APUS. America’s first space station was in trouble after launch. Vibration had caused its micrometeorite & sun shield to get dislodged and hit one of the solar panels.

Power was dropping. Temps were rising. Toxic materials were leaking. Not great.

So they sewed a new one. By hand & saved the station.

One of the many reasons I love to spot the station (https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/) is because I can look into the sky and imagine the seven people living on that pinpoint of light - and remember that I have accomplished essentially nothing in this world.
Spot The Station
See the International Space Station! As the third brightest object in the sky the space station is easy to see if you know when to look up.
