It's funny how as I read more into the Old Testament, the wider the canyon between conservative politics and Christian values becomes in my eyes.
Let me repeat: I'm reading the OLD TESTAMENT. The age of Law, not the age of grace. The "hard part" of the bible.

Why does Trump want Greenland? “National security.”

Why should Trump’s ballroom vanity project proceed? “National security.”

Why is Trump killing the wind energy industry? “National security.”

Why does Trump hate the New York Times? “National security.”

The pattern is ... not subtle.
For the White House, ‘national security’ is becoming the answer to every question
Donald Trump and his team have a go-to tactic intended to shut down debate over their goals. It's not working.

EXCLUSIVE: We found that Instacart is using AI algorithms to charge customers different prices for the same items.

It's not just online. It's in physical grocery stores too.

Our months-long investigation with @consumerreports.org and @groundwork.bsky.social found it could cost families $1200/year.

Billionaire Jared Isaacman has been confirmed by the Senate as the new head of NASA.

His plans for the space agency include a bigger emphasis on commercialization.

And he's also an associate of Elon Musk, having flown twice on SpaceX launches.

My favorite scene from The Manchurian Candidate brilliantly explains why liars like Trump don’t care about the wild numbers they fabricate. Watch Angela Lansbury explain the perverse logic behind it and why it works.

This is extraordinary, heartbreaking, and a red alert warning sign for our democracy.

These people are about to be federal judges, and they refuse to answer whether the U.S. Capitol was attacked on January 6.

They say they can't comment because it's "a political controversy".
Sen. BLUMENTHAL: Was the U.S. Capitol attacked on January 6, 2021?

Trump nominee: *dodges*

Trump nominee: *dodges*

Trump nominee: Well, individuals entered the Capitol.

Blumenthal: You are in fear—how will you have the courage to be fair and impartial?

Good thing we're powering all these datacenters. That water is going to good use in making:
- coding worse and harder for humans
- job searches worse and harder for humans
- social skills development worse and harder for humans

It only works for the ones who make money off of it.
AI consumed as much water as the water bottle industry this year.

It also created as much carbon pollution as New York City, according to a new study.

AI’s water and electricity use soars in 2025
It’s guzzling up even more water than expected.

Big tech is spending millions to push back against rising opposition to data centers.

Meta has spent over $5 million in the past month on ads promoting data centers.

An industry trade groups is also ramping up lobbying, and sending talking points to members of Congress.

Nationalism & the self-aggrandizing nature of my country's president is a Grade-A example of why nationalism doesn't square w/ Christianity.
Philippians 3:20 - our final resting place is NOT American soil!
Hebrews 11:13-16 - The endpoint for all who have faith in God & His promises is heaven!
Per @garretthaake.bsky.social, the extremely tacky "presidential wall of fame" that lines the colonnade to the West Wing now has obviously-Trump-penned plaques insulting or praising the presidents.
