And you can tell they know they've got a winner here, because they do give you the option to downgrade to "Standard." Which seems to mean you go on paying €60 for the same stuff you had before.

So anyhow, Adobe's automatically changing everyone's Creative Cloud plan to "Pro" and increasing our monthly payments from €60 to €80 to try and recoup all that spending on AI bullshit nobody wants. That should win them friends.

I would not ever want Dolly Parton annoyed at me. I want to live my life so that Dolly Parton is never annoyed at me.

Pritzker: "He wants to militarize major cities because he wants us to get used to the idea of troops on the streets. I believe he's gonna post people outside of polling places and if he needs to in order to control those elections, he'll assume control of the ballot boxes & count the votes himself"

Yep, that's what I needed to do. Thanks for the tip, Andrej!

Where's the rest of Nebraska? Also, I'd take a bigger bite out of central PA and upstate NY. I've lived in Ithaca and Iowa City and, once you leave the College Town areas, they're about equally midwestern.

A few online orders or in-store book purchases would be a nice way to support Books Upstairs after this horrible attack. Who does this? To an independent book shop?

Sending troops from Texas to forcefully occupy and suppress cities in Illinois and Oregon IN OPPOSITION TO THOSE STATES' GOVERNORS is literally a civil war and it's cooking my brain that Democrats are simply pretending it isn't happening

UPDATE: Hegseth today called up 400 members of the Texas National Guard, with Gov. Abbott's apparent permission, to be deployed "where needed, including in the cities of Portland and Chicago." www.politico.com/news/2025/10...

We must now start calling this what it is: Trump’s Invasion. It started with federal agents, it will soon include deploying federalized members of the Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and it will now involve sending in another state’s military troops.

Penelope Fitzgerald was 60.

(Also, not that it means much, but I was 38.)

I was well over 30 when I wrote and published my first novel, and fully agree with you!

When I turned 30 I had not yet written my first published book or my first published novel and did not know (or know of) some of the most important people in my life. I didn't know how much my life could still change, and did, after the age of 30. There is so much your life still yet to live.

I'm afraid it doesn't work for me on Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224) with either Firefox or Safari. I only get a Previous button on the practice round page, so I keep bouncing back and forth between that and the explainer page.

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.

Send Dems into rural America to talk about what Trump is doing. The Republicans are too scared and won’t show their faces…in the vacuum of messaging, there is power.

Tell the folks who is hurting them. Point to the GOP. Be the foil to the shit that’s happening. Be the party of the people.
