I think the failing washington post is illustrative: people don't just get brainwashed or hoodwinked by this shit, they cancel their subscriptions and stop engaging with it. This is still much worse than having actually good media but it's not the nightmare scenario, it's not actually persuasive

Contrarian point: it's really bad but at the same time US political media is already so in the tank for trump that I don't know how much this moves the needle. Addendum: I want to make explicit what was implicit in the reference to rolling back the progress from the Civil Rights era that African Americans & other Americans of color are & will continue to be targeted. Just as LGBTQ+ Americans even as they’ve started w/those who are transgender.

But they want us to believe that they're omnipresent and invincible, that resistance is futile. They're not, and it isn't.

There are many ways we need to resist, but ridicule, making clear they're weird losers, punctures their attempts to psych us out. It makes it easier for others to resist.

Since this escaping containment, I wanted to clarify a couple things.

Fascists HATE being ridiculed and often react violently—in fact Funny Frog got tear gassed, and reportedly ICE goons were trying to find ways to spray tear gas INSIDE the frog suit.
