As someone who was subjected to conversion therapy, it doesn’t work. It won’t work. It’s torture. I was hooked up to an IV and made to vomit watching gay porn for two hours per week. I was prayed over. Bibles and the Book of Mormon were shoved in my face.

In a press release, Texas Attorney General calls "transgenderism" a "corrupted ideology" that is "a cancer on our culture."

This is openly genocidal rhetoric about trans people from a sitting AG.

A press release dated October 7, 2025, with the headline: “Attorney General Ken Paxton Launches Undercover Operations to Infiltrate and Uproot Leftist Terror Cells in Texas After Increased Political Violence.” The statement claims rising left-wing violence, referencing the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and outlines Paxton’s directive for undercover investigations. A highlighted quote from Paxton reads: “Leftist political terrorism is a clear and present danger. Corrupted ideologies like transgenderism and Antifa are a cancer on our culture and have unleashed their deranged and drugged-up foot soldiers on the American people.” The text further accuses the radical Left of fostering political violence, referencing incidents involving Antifa-like groups and a supposed assassin tied to transgender movements. If we look at 20th-century China and Germany as examples, it actually takes a few decades to recover from the type of self-harm that the US is currently inflicting on itself.

And he called US President Donald Trump's efforts to reshape American science and health policy -- including mass firings to government scientists and steep slashes to research budgets -- an "immensely serious problem."

"This will cripple much of United States science research," he told AFP, adding that he knew people who have taken enormous funding hits.

"It is going to be disastrous if this continues," Clarke said. "Assuming that the present administration finally comes to an end, it may take a decade to get back to where we were, say, half a year ago."

"It's a huge problem" that's "entirely beyond any understanding of anyone who is a scientist," he said.

Murray: I talked to a family that’s paying about $300 a month for their health insurance. It’s going to jump to over $1,800 per month.

Many people will turn away and not pay for it—obviously, they’ll lose their health insurance. The fewer people who have insurance, the more everybody pays.
