Finally said goodbye to my big, beautiful rescue cat Pauley. Took him four days to let go - not so much fighting as stubborn. So glad to give him a decade of love after being abandoned. He was a crotchety old man from the onset, but he was tolerated - and loved. He'll be missed.

I am so PISSED that the Twins made a scapegoat of Rocco Baldelli when they gutted his bench and bullpen and scraped the heart out of the team. leaving him with kids and career minor leaguers. F*ck the Pohlads and the spinless yes men they have in the front office.

Yeah, I admit it's very superficial, but I gauge my scrolling time here by MurderbotBot. I'll read and absorb everything in my feed up at a point, but when I hit the first post on MurderbotBot, I know it's time to log out and do something else. It keeps me sane.

My favorite expletive? "Goats and monkeys!" Very few people understand it, which makes it even more powerful in my somewhat deranged mind. (Act IV of Othello. Like a lot of Shakespeare, it has oh, so many levels to one simple, incomprehensible phrase.)

Can I just say how amazing Noma Dumezweni is as Dr. Mensah in "Murderbot"? I mean, my favorite supporting character is Ratthi and I love Alexander Skarsgård in the title role, but she is amazing in her understated resolve and humanity. Gads, this is a great cast and a stellar show.

Yup, winning is great, but pre-season is for developing and honing skills, evaluating new players, building a team.... concentrate on the how, not the what!
