i guess im reconciling it by noting that i already believed massively accumulated wealth and power were bad. i do think the facts of what the unfathomably wealthy have done and how they're connected are important to know. but the specifics don't change my worldview: they should not exist

The act of writing is *thinking*. If you do not allow yourself to think thoughts that feel wrong, you will never get a feel for what feels *right*.

The point of writing crap is not that you should barf out anything.

It's that you should be aware as you are writing it what the flaws are, and you need to get through it the first time, because the act of doing so informs you what is wrong.

Explore and experiment. Challenge yourself. Go down paths that could be dead ends. Take time for silence and day dreaming and let your unconscious mind work. Read widely. Dabble in other mediums and let the alternate form inspire your process.

anyway i really loved the movie i thought it was beautiful meditation on life as a creator and what happens to people who can only really express themselves through art. yes self indulgent but i say go for it. LOVE IT when creators self indulge to say 'this story is important and i am important too'
