I've been trying to make nankhatai, which is a specialty of the town my grandmother grew up in. they should have pista on the top, not almonds, but I like them anyway.

I went skating in Delhi today and it was such a good experience! Such smooth ice and not being the only brown on it goes down well.

So I wrote two books. both are set in London, in winter, in 2021. One is an alternate future history, a sparse love story where a spad and civil servant work on Brexit together and fall unwillingly in love; the other is a sports anime, a post-pandemic f/f romance. here they both are:

why I am still a huge fan of Dishoom: they're higher-end, beloved of white Londoners and tourists, gimmicky in their way; but, they can host real Indian families, we can go in and make a racket and grill the water about his antecedents and be met who we are. anyway my mum had a lovely 70th!

Lovely day on skates today! Ice, not roller; I'm breaking in my first pair of ice skates and managed to stumble around Ally Pally for a couple of hours, and also, there was Uzbek food!

well, if we're all doing it. there was a huge rush for Yuletide 2009 because you actually had to have an account to sign up that year - don't think I thought it was a big deal at the time!
