Not the main thing but "just like we *did* with cartels"? Fairly certain the cartels are still truckin.
atrupar.com
Bondi: "Bondi: "Just like we did with cartels, we are going to take the same approach, President Trump, with antifa -- destroy the entire organization from top to bottom. We are going to take them apart."

Don't overlook the possibility that he's done it to himself given how famously screen addicted and prone to anything that self-flatters he is.

Trump: "We took the freedom of speech away because that's been through the courts and the courts said you have freedom of speech, but what has happened is when they burn a flag it agitates and irritates crowds."

Pritzker: "This guy is unhinged. He's insecure. He's a wannabe dictator. And there's one thing I really want to say to Donald Trump. If you come for my people, you come through me. So come and get me."

I look forward to the reveal that Zohran's entire campaign was an elaborate plot to once again ruin Brennan's life on Game Changer.
sirgobbersworth.bsky.social
What are the odds that this is an elaborate @samreich.bsky.social plot for a Game Changer episode?

This is a "everytime you try to talk about the subject I just repost this idiotic opinion you had" level of stupid take, jesus christ

It's always good to reckon with whether your plan was actually good or was a longshot you got lucky on.

It feels extremely easy to determine "they absolutely would fall right into this same trap again" from current events, which makes it a much better risk to take.

“But what if instead of resisting so hard, republicans had given in and passed Dems’ bill? Then Dems’ strategy would have been foolish.” Yeah but that didn’t happen so shut up. We are in the world we’re in, not the world we might have been in had different things happened.
sirgobbersworth.bsky.social
He was talking about to deploy the National Guard and I believe he cited title 10 or something like that?

I've only seen shorted clips, not seen the full interview.

Mike Johnson’s position is young pregnant American women shouldn’t have to wait before being turned away to die in the parking lot from an ectopic pregnancy the hospital is afraid to treat
atrupar.com
Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

Yeah, I really wish I had an answer that didn't boil down to "it's gonna be real bleak" here.

Said this flippantly in a chat thread about a Babylon 5 rewatch, then realised it was actual life advice:

“I increasingly think of middle aged middle management as an RPG called Don’t Be Londo Mollari”

I'm legitimately baffled that I looked at the comments and all of them are about how actually this makes her look great. Like...these were not hard questions and it's bizarre the meltdown over them even if you think they were kinda dumb.

we as liberals don't actually need to cede the idea of military effectiveness to the right. we should point out that these meathead morons are going to lose us a fucking war.

Seriously, watch this. Descriptions won’t do it justice. There’s no technical difficulty.

The amazing pause here from Miller is him realizing he said the quiet part out loud (probably a few months early) and then freezing like a possum in the face of a coyote or something as a defensive measure.
candycoatedchaos.bsky.social
Not Stephen Miller accidentally outting the regime in an interview. Let that "plenary authority" claim slip right out and then had to act like the audio cut out.

Sir! We heard you.. and the President does NOT have plenary authority.

I’m a career prosecutor who took a $25,000 check from an affiliated entity of Donald Trump’s while investigating Trump University and later left my lobbying firm to become Donald Trump’s personal impeachment lawyer, White House aide, and Attorney General. So don’t you DARE question my integrity.
atrupar.com
Bondi to Blumenthal: "You lied. How dare you? I'm a career prosecutor. Don't you ever challenge my integrity. Do not question my ability to be fair and impartial."
sirgobbersworth.bsky.social
He also knows he's lying badly while he's doing it.

"Look I've talked to a lot of people who all have different ideas" is...uh...notably extremely not a coherent plan lmao
