I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

the atla mtg set is pretty fun so far. my only major complaint is that sometimes i'll be playing a normal game of magic and i'll think "okay before combat i need to kill sokka" and man that's fucked up. sokka's my friend, i can't do that. but they're going to draw a card if i don't. what do i do.

i unsurprisingly haven't really seen anyone much talking about it but i've been really enjoying amemiya akira's little web series. the voice acting and cute art with the limited animation is so charming (and i appreciate the english subs lol). it's like inferno cop as a high school romance story.
