This aspect of the language is a roadblock for me when I try to learn Irish. I wish someone could just make them all masculine, by decree, or call it neuter. That's not sexism - nothing to do with that. For example the word "cailín" (colleen) is masculine (etc etc etc). #GrammaticalGender #Gaeilge

Reading between the lines, they don't have enough good stuff yet - so a good opportunity if you've got a masterpiece almost ready - reasonably generous word limit and some cracking judges (although the way this is laid out makes it look like they're awarding 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes to the judges 🙂 )

There should be some sort of threshold beyond which essential enterprises should be nationalised and held in trust for the benefit of all. It's sick for all that to be owned by one person or even a small group of extremely rich. It's reversion to a type of aristocracy and feudal rights system.

Day, bright but with cloudy bluish sky. A quiet street, looking into what seems to be a cul-de-sac with big trees all around and across the (small) "horizon"in full leaf but yellowing and with quite a few yellow leaves strewn all around. Grass verge on one side. Some cars parked further along.

The Greens requested an interview on the Laura Kuenssberg Show with Zack Polanski when he was elected leader, but were denied, with a promise to interview him during Green conference instead.

This was then scrapped citing the Manchester synagogue attack. Polanski is both Jewish and from Manchester
