Surrealist painter, writer, and occultist Ithell Colquhoun was born #OTD in 1906. She was fascinated by megalithic sites, which she explored in painting and in her travel books 'The Crying of the Wind: Ireland' (1955) and 'The Living Stones: Cornwall' (1957).

Gold Lyre with bull’s head & Silver Lyre with cow’s head, unearthed from Royal Death Pit of Ur, Sir Leonard Woolley 1920’s. Gold Lyre played by a male, Silver Lyre by a female. The young female musician was still clutching her instrument after 4 millennia.

When this happened to us, rubber seal around the door had popped out of its slot. Remedy: remove ice buildup, clean the seal, press it back in firmly all around the door. Remove any items in freezer that are blocking air flow from cooling vents. Bob's your uncle! Also, chance to clean out freezer.😀

Banksia coccinea - Scarlet Banksia

Known by the local Noongar peoples as Waddib, this stunning banksia is endemic to the southwest coast around Denmark/Albany to the Stirling Ranges.
