Only took me 213 hours but I have finally accomplished 100% item collection in Distorted Travesty 4. What a wonderful and nightmarish game.

Now I just gotta do the final boss grinds and who knows how many tens of hours that will take.

Multiple tester's controllers have had buttons (L1 button specifically) broken while playing the DT4 end-game content. I think the game is right on track to being amazing, then.

Just finished Princess Peach: Showtime!, and it really is funny how much Nintendo games like to just say hey, what if we added a fuck ton of new collectables for you to find by replaying every level in the game a second time!

And by funny, I mean it's kinda tiring.

The unholy scream of pure delight I made when I got to see An Untitled Story again after over a decade. Foundational game from my childhood. Will hyperfixate on it for the next 7 years if I need to.

Sure is funny to watch someone who is heavily offline play Undertale for the first time, unspoiled, in the year 2025.

I feel like the "smoothening" of game design over the past decade or so has changed the way many players interact with the art form for the worse.

Friction often serves a purpose.

If something feels unsatisfying, why? Does that feeling contribute to the meaning of what you're experiencing?

Really should remember to play the tragic yaoi RPG Maker game more. It's pretty fun, minor graphical issues aside.

"Hey, gimme a JRPG - but hold the turn based combat"
"No turn based combat?"
"And hold the random encounters"
"No random encounters!? Hey, Jimmy, gimme a JRPG with NOTHIN"
"Nothin???"
a man wearing a chef 's hat and apron is looking at the camera
Alt: Man working at a pizzeria, looking exasperated, turns around and says "Hey Jimmy, gimme a pizza with nothin". The man behind him, presumably Jimmy, turns around with a bewildered look on his face and says "Nothin???"

It is funny how every time a new Deltarune chapter releases I get a new PC in the interim, meaning I have to replay all the content that came before it to regain my save files which have gone missing.

Anywho time to replay chapters 1 and 2.

Tribe Nine finally getting real spicy now that we're done with chapter 3. So much interesting foreshadowing lol.
