Refactoring my triangle rasterizer a bit - it looks the same, but now my rasterizer writes into a big raw 12MB buffer of "VRAM" instead of directly into a texture (and then a separate compute shader copies *that* into the final output texture)

(part of the reason I've been looking into this stuff is because I'm looking at my Nyx fantasy console again, and considering whether I want to opt for CPU T&L or hardware T&L)
Dang. Saw a video of HL2 running on an Nvidia TNT2 in DX6 mode and... It ran shockingly okay?? Like 20-30 FPS maybe
That card didn't even have a hardware T&L unit afaik? I'm kind of shocked it can handle that much geometry on screen.

Thinking about a video I watched of the game PILGRIM on Steam, which has very amateurish voice acting. One of the characters in the game, the merchant, will allow you to go up to £30 in debt to him, but beyond that will tell you you can't borrow any more, but (1/2)
