This is the best impassable obstacle I've ever seen in a game

If only this chair could be moved, perhaps on wheels of some kind...

The band on my headphones just randomly cracked for no reason? Like, I just picked it up from the desk and noticed it wasn't fitting right

I've only had these a couple years. And the cover was already peeling off the padding. I'm kinda sick of how quickly everything falls apart these days

And that's Fatal Frame 3 done!

A remarkably clever, surprisingly unique game in it's own right and an incredible cap to the PS2 trilogy

That also makes 40 games finished this year according to Backloggd

Me at Primehack

It's just so cool that folks were able to make these kind changes to how Metroid Prime plays without having more direct access to the game itself. It'd be impressive effort for a full decompiled port, but purely an emulator running off an original disk image? Wild shit

I never finished Metroid Prime 2 back on the GameCube as a kid, got stuck on the Boost Guardian. Got *very* close on the Wii but ended up accidentally falling off during the Sky Temple Key hunt

It's nice to finally, *finally* close out one of my favorite games in the series

Easily the best and most compelling book description on a back cover I have ever read

For real though it's hard to pick. But in the full context of *everything* leading up to it, it has one of my favorite endings in fiction

Also, probably the most haunting moment I've ever seen in a game

I dipped my toes into AM2R back when it first came out but I'm *finally* putting some long overdue proper time into it. Really is an incredible piece of work

Having scan logs in 2D Metroid is really neat. Definitely wouldn't mind seeing the official games bring that over from Prime

Just judging by sales numbers there are probably a lot of Hollow Knight fans out there who've never played Metroid

So hello Hollow Knight fans! Have you finished Silksong and now you're looking for something new?

I'm... honestly not sure I've seen a *retracted apology* quite like this before

Like this isn't just a weird hill to die on. This is a hill they went out of their way to *climb back up* after folks seemed generally satisfied with how they were navigating their way down

For *this* guy

Playing Alan Wake in 2010 is why I love taking chances on games. You never know when you'll find something that changes everything. Turns out I was already half way down the spiral. 15 years to catch up on, 15 even stranger years and beyond to look forward to

Happy birthday Remedy #RMD30

Sometimes as a kid I'd look through game guides just to see all the cool stuff in there

So naturally I had to check out Plastiboo's Vermis. They're gorgeous guidebooks for an old dungeon crawler that doesn't actually exist. Incredibly atmospheric art

No cheating, post your lock screen

I really like BLAME!, in case that wasn't clear

I used to check out From Myst to Riven from the library all the time as a kid. At the time Riven didn't work on our PC so for years this was the only experience of it I had, and it only made it more mysterious and tantalizing

So happy to finally find it. It even has the cover I wanted 😍

So funny story. I backed the Kickstarter for Firmament on PC, but I haven't played it yet because I haven't been able to use my PC headset in a while and I'm determined to play it in VR first. So now that it's on PSVR2 I finally get to dive in

Any day I fire up a new Cyan adventure is a good day
