This took a while to do. I compared Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, and Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles for @rpgsite.net going over features, platform differences, visuals, load times for all the versions, and more: www.rpgsite.net/feature/1859...

Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles on Switch 2, Steam Deck OLED, ROG Ally, and PS Portal next to two PS Vitas running FF Tactics PS1 and WOTL. There's a physical copy of the PS5 version next to an iPad running FFT WOTL, the Switch and Steam Deck LCD with the classic mode for the Ivalice Chronicles. I also have the soundtrack playing on a phone via Apple Music next to two espresso cups with black coffee.

Whether that's for the best or not is really up to personal taste. Ultimately it's probably for the best because it means we're getting more accurate dubs, but god, there's something so heartfelt about Digimon The Movie's weird ass localization and the mess that it is that makes me sad we won't

A great ska-filled soundtrack, a FANTASTIC dub and localization with a bunch of jokes that I still quote/think about to this day, absolutely killer voice performances from everyone involved, even for the Adventure kids in OWG who have less than 10 lines. This film RULES. We'll never see this again.

Digimon: The Movie is, dare I say not a good movie in terms of the source material. It's an absolute mess, chops a bunch out of Hurricane Touchdown, and has to messily make three wholly unconnected OVAs work together.

But it *is* an incredible movie in terms of what they put out.
