I'm not ready for any of this.
I like making things with my hands out of Lego elements, yarn (knit), and fabric (art quilts). I used to write speculative fiction and poetry. I cycle through creative outlets.

Fellow authors, I love you, and I know it feels like we don’t have a choice, but B&N and Am*zon both scheduled sales this week to preempt Independent Bookstore Day, a hugely vital source of income for indie bookstores. Please don’t promote their sales; please promote your local indie this week.

The greatest gift you can give tyranny is your despair (& fear & compliance).

Seek out joy as a tactical weapon in the fight.

Seek it out because it will power you up.

Seek joy because you deserve it.

Let it remind you of the world we're fighting for.

Trump’s trying to gut funding for libraries: you can fight back with ALA.

The President's executive order to dismantle the Institute of Museum & Library Services would be deeply harmful. We need to speak out.

Take action NOW: tell Congress to protect library funding.

As a Star Trek fan and a scientist, I love this image, because Dr. Jemison is both a hero *AND* one of the few people for whom we can say "here she is doing her space job" in two totally different contexts. 🧪

i can see people ditching meta because it’s just gotten worse as it ate other companies for like 15 years. but it’s common knowledge amazon drivers piss in bottles and work through and die in hurricanes and everyone still gives it like a 98% approval rating & it’s embedded in everything.
Hey while megaretailers profiting one of the richest men in world are out here doing this shit www.advocate.com/news/amazon-...

maybe it's a fun time to switch to @librofm.bsky.social for audiobooks. Select the indie bookstore you'd like to support, listen away. Comp prices to aforementioned jerks

I'm excited for this! Something to look forward to.
Unveiling the official U.S. cover for WEARING THE LION! My next book, about the messy relationship between Hera and Heracles.

So glad to finally share this with y'all. I love its striking colors, and the creatures it hints at--each is a huge part of the book. The art is by Adam Auerbach! #BookSky
