I'm kind of having a crisis of identity because what if I enjoy it because of the social reinforcement of a society that I also view as corrupt in some ways, instead of genuine appreciation for the form? I see a lot of other necromancers who are doing so much more and I wonder if what is holding me back is a subconscious hate of the one thing that has defined me, and by extension myself?

The rot of compromise in the modern political age is the idea that the status quo is both neutral and good, so therefore what is compromise is doing nothing. Compromise is allowance, and distrust or destruction of overt change. Compromise could be hard fought battles won with concessions, instead it is a lame furtherance and insistence on the contradictions of the status quo. If we ask why allowances are made for the change of the right wing and not the left, the answer is clear: the right is the status quo, simply further along, and the status quo was never neutral, and was never good.
