conference in Brussels today, Nick Thomas-Symonds made a good case for the UK-EU reset process. But many of the academics/diplomats/MPs/civilservants/trade associations/journalists present felt it was insufficient to change the dial economically. Much more needed!

I thought I recalled him publicly suggesting Hilary Clinton should be shot.
I thought I heard him calling a public official a "numbskull".
I thought he said some hateful things about Biden.
I must have mis-heard or imagined all this.

I have joined this democratic organisation and hope that enough EU-minded friends and colleagues will join to influence its policy on rejoining the EU. If "Rejoin" is an explicit ambition of the organisation this time next year I will renew.
