My mother's paranoia of "what if" for every little thing drives me insane. Especially as we live in a quiet suburb, not the fucking city. Some of our neighbors still don't even lock the doors, and yet she checks to make sure ours are and throws a fit if it's not "properly" closed tight.

One of the few things Benny Morris and Illan Pappe agree on is that the idea that the Arab armies ordered the Palestinian population to evacuate en masse under the pretext that they would return within weeks or months is a myth.
Also reminded of the time someone on here repeatedly said that the majority of Palestinian refugees from 1948 fled because the Arab states told them to and when I showed him the data which disproves this he thought I was talking about surveys from the 80s and not the literal Israeli army archives.
Reminded of the time a lady on here told me Israel isn't a racist state because Israel discriminates on the basis of Jewishness or non-Jewishness and being Jewish is an ethnicity not a race

Well, I don't know if that was worth it, unless you go on a much slower day. Second weekend and they're already sold out of the Chicago pop up shirts. I splurged to get the Louis de Guzman one, and damn is it a slim fit, the large fits like a ladies large instead of a unisex, baggy large. #sonic

I hate driving in Chicago, and I really wish I had a working Ventra app. But since it's decided to shit the bed, I'm now stuck in a Walgreens lot after I went to use the bathroom, and someone next to me couldn't be arsed to pull in the spot all the way so I can't back out.
