Bombing another country and kidnapping its leader would also be wrong with Congressional approval. The outrage, and call for impeachment, should be over the evil and illegal outcome not merely the failure to follow the prescribed process.

So many people over decades have been called conspiracy theorists for suggesting that U.S. intervention is driven by capitalist interests, and the interests of the oil industry in particular. Now the president just says it outright in press conferences and interviews.
Q: China, Russia, and Iran have interests in Venezuela. How does this operation affect your relationships with them?

TRUMP: In terms of other countries that want oil, we're in the oil business. We're gonna sell it to them. We'll be selling oil.

Amid furor over Flock and the national laughingstock Houston Made of Oakland, Council Passed Significant Legislation That Could Affect Revenues, Public Participation and Campaign Finance Practices
Council Vote for Flock Took Center Stage, But Coupled with Houston’s Classroom Antics, Distracted from Significant Legislation That's Escaped Public Notice
In what appeared to almost be a parodic performance of untransparent governance, the City Council’s last meeting of the Calendar year passed a multitude of significant legislation—too much in one session for any meaningful public participation on all of them. A Flock contract expansion was rightfully the focus

Centrist/Moderate is great branding because it implies reasonableness but there's nothing reasonable about stubbornly clinging to pro-business and pro-upper class politics when the country is falling apart. This is an ideology like any other, and it's a bad one
While progressives often get accused of undermining the Democratic Party, the evidence shows that it’s the moderate wing that most often violates the “Vote Blue No Matter Who” principle.

As a centrist, I think Donald Trump is bad, but the political and economic conditions that enabled him to become president twice are good

As reported weeks ago, the EAP is on its way back to Council on December 2nd. Worth noting, with months to respond to the redline version from state, and warning Oakland's likely to lose millions in funding in current version, there's no amendments from Houston or the D6 office.

The biggest hole in this element of Flock contract: Flock owns the cams, and the city can't remove them, Flock has to. If Trump took over Oakland, the cameras would remain, the platform would remain, the consent forms would remain. All in place for a new contract with Trump

Once the cams go up in Oakland, only Flock can take them down. We're about to mortgage our streets to a corporation that in its most charitable iteration does not gaf about us.

I just saw a good example of what I was talking about with chatgpt being a crackpot generating machine.

A guy had started Wheeler's Spacetime Physics, and had a problem on page 2.

Wheeler expressed a square root as a power of 1/2.

√a = a^1/2. This is basic algebra, not physics.

Biden/Kamala refused to compromise on genocide. Voters calling for a ceasefire were left at a moral impasse: support an administration enabling atrocity, or risk empowering a domestic authoritarian. It was a burden no electorate should bear—choosing between injustice abroad and danger at home.

Worth noting, Loren Taylor is a landlord who made over $100K on just one property in 2024, per his statement of economic interest report turned in this week. His relationship with landlord advocates makes a lot more sense.

The Trump administration's outrageous detention of Mahmoud is designed to instill terror in students speaking out for Palestinian freedom and immigrant communities.

This is the fascist playbook. We all must fiercely reject it, and universities must start protecting its students.
