In celebration of World Octopus Day, we wanted to revisit one of our favorite cephalopod sightings, the glass octopus — Vitreledonella richardi filmed during a month-long #PhoenixIslandsCoral expedition in 2021.

@lingthusiasm.bsky.social This post would be very weird for someone who understand "frown" as something done with the eyebrows. As I did before, because the french translation is explicit about it (it's "froncer les sourcils", no idea if it's used in Canada too).

6yo: It would be cool if we could move our teeth around in our mouth. So when you want to smile you can make them curve up, or curve down when you want to frown, and flossing would be WAY EASIER.

🌼 Good Vibrations 🌼

some graphic design fun I had yesterday

#GraphicDesign #MyArt #60s #vinyl #LP
Photo mockup of a double LP album front cover with a vinyl peeking out of the sleeve. The cover shows a 60s photo of a hippie man with flowers in his hair, and is cut off by a graphic rainbow band that runs across the cover horizontally at an angle. "Michael's Selection" is written boldly across the front with a rainbow line around the funky font. Underneath, smaller and written in a more simple serif font stands "GOOD VIBRATIONS" Photo mockup of the inside cardboard sleeve of a double LP album. The outer edge has a rainbow band running along it and the centre is an off-white. Across both sides on the bottom, it reads "GOOD VIBRATIONS" in a black serif font. in the top right corner it reads "Michael's Selection" in a funky font with a rainbow edge. The majority of the spread shows the song list for "Side One", "Side Two", "Side Three", and "Side Four" seperated into four columns. The song title is in bold and connected with a dotted line is the runtime of each song. underneath the song title in a smaller, light font, it reads the artist. Photo-mockup of a double LP album front and back cover next to each other. The front cover shows a 60s photo of a hippie man with flowers in his hair, and is cut off by a graphic rainbow band that runs across the cover horizontally at an angle. "Michael's Selection" is written boldly across the front with a rainbow line around the funky font. Underneath, smaller and written in a more simple serif font stands "GOOD VIBRATIONS".
The rainbow band from the front continues to the back and makes a curve upards. the lower part shows a vintage photo of some weeds and in bold, funky font with a red outline is written "The 60s are back in a Double-Album!". On top of the rainbow band on off-white ground it reads "Featuring the legendary ..." and then lists several artists in a small font. Photo mockup of 4 black vinyl LPs with two showing the label. The outer edge of the label is a rainbow band on top of which it reads "Michael's Selection" in bold funky font with a rainbow edge. Underneath that on off-white ground in a smaller serif font it reads "GOOD VIBRATIONS" FOLLOWING THE CURVE. Underneath that, it reads "Side 1" on one label and "Side 2" on the other label. left and right of the hole in the middle are a column each with the track number, the featured song titles, and the artist.

Digital illustration of Endres in a casual robe sitting in front of a painted divider screen at a round tea table decorated with a vase of blossoming branches. He has a plate of pastries and a tea pot with a tea cup in front of him, grasping the cup delicately and arranging the branches. The mood is quaint with pastel colours.

All I saw was cheesecake boat and ocean for at least 5 minutes
Photo of a missing slice of cheesecake that looks like a cheesecake hull floating in a deep blue ocean. The "ocean" is actually the blueberry topping on the large cheesecake that we don't see completely.

C'est pas les vieux le problème, c'est les vieux bourgeois.

Comme les bourgeois de toutes les générations.

Sauf que plus on vieillit, plus les pauvres des classes les plus basses sont morts...
