I think it’s time we all became democratic socialists. The moderate/centrist/corporate democrats have failed and betrayed us too many times.

New episode of Abbott Elementary today!
My big advice for how to survive right now is to watch/read/listen to what makes you laugh

You have to give yourself a chance to laugh

Desi parents, my brother…
Did a talk for Commonwealth Club last night. Great feedback. Audience members raved.

Meanwhile here is my mom's review:

"If you have money get yourself a new suit, some shirts and a formal shoe for events. Your pants were tight and you were wearing horrible socks. Get some black and blue socks"

Maybe Barack’s 2004 DNC speech but I needed this more.
What an excellent, inspiring speech from Mamdani. I haven’t felt chills like this… ever?

I would like 10,000 Mamdanis and AOCs across the country please.

One man who's been in the United States here for 20 years, and whose wife and kids live here, even says he was physically threatened into signing his own deportation, with the ICE officer threatening to physically hurt him if he didn't sign the paper, or even grab his hands and "sign" for him.

Obama: "The weird videos of a US president with a crown on his head flying a fighter jet & dumping poop on American citizens - that's not even worth booing about. Because all of that is a distraction from the fact that your situation, your life has not gotten better. They do it so you won't notice"

Interesting history I learned from Chokepoints: American Power in the Age of Economic Warfare by Edward Fishman: Iran’s nuclear program began because of the Atoms for Peace program under Truman

Never take seriously those who ridicule low income people for having a smartphone or laptop.

“If they’re so poor how did they buy an iPhone???”

Because they’re trying to escape poverty, not the 1700s, genius. If you think basic tech access is luxury, survive a month without it.
