there's a reason why collaborations are forming between longevity, regenerative medicine, and infection-associated chronic condition researchers.
“When my doctors told me that I had Hodgkin lymphoma, they shared the various molecular markers the biopsy revealed…‘It’s EBV positive,’ they told me. My cancerous cells bore the genetic fingerprints of Epstein-Barr virus.”
Opinion | A viral infection can have devastating effects. I experienced this firsthand.
The consequences of the anti-vaccine movement reach beyond today’s controversies.

Tensions between the sexes could be NOTABLY relieved if repressed men simply accepted the fact that they prefer gay/trans people over natal women.
Alas, these men do not have the courage to grant themselves a chance at true intimacy, so they perpetually lash out (often at their own wives and kids).
10/10. No notes.

There's an update on Savannah's fundraiser and it is fucking grim.
The hospital have not changed course. Continuing to reduce pain meds. Still not reinstated antihistamine meaning Savannah's had no meaningful nutrition in 7 fucking weeks.

This is MURDER.

All 3 updates are from today.

I refuse to use the acronym CFS or “chronic fatigue syndrome” when this many lives are being lost. You cannot convince me that “chronic fatigue” wasn’t conveniently (maliciously) popularized by Stephen Straus, insurance companies and others post-Lake Tahoe in the 80s. #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis
Four more people w/ #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis died this past week and no one except other #pwME is discussing it b/c most don't know.

"Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" was a hideous misnomer from the start--crushing fatigue is one symptom out of 200--& the CDC failed miserably in coining the name in 1988

With the baleful poésie of a gothic ode, Franco’s temporal vacuum A VIRGIN AMONG THE LIVING DEAD (1973) exemplifies the beguiling pull not of carnal vitality but of depression, a dark destiny innocently accepted as symbolic submersion in an ecosystem of shadows. #FrancoFriday

Unfettered medical barbarism is hardly a thing of the past, although plenty prefer to delude themselves into believing it is. It’s not uncommon for ME patients to be medically tortured to death in hospital settings. See post below for further elaboration and email template details. ⬇️

Literate adults who aren’t in denial have long since acknowledged that murder, r***, trafficking, and all sorts of morally debased acts are not only commonplace, but necessary measures amongst the ruling class; abuse maintains their functionality and mediates their behavior. History attests to this.
So. If everything in the Epstein files is true. The president of the United States is a violent rapist. And a serial killer.

Many diseases were once called “psychological” or “all in the mind”.

Again and again, biology later proved otherwise.

This thread shows clear cases where medicine got it wrong, then changed its mind once real mechanisms were found.

This is as devastating as it is terrifying for anyone whose life has been directly impacted by the horrors of ME. It’s truly kafkaesque/black mirror, except it’s a reality for millions.

Bless Eric Hauser and all who have since passed. My heart hurts for their loved ones.
Another member of our community has passed away. By my count that's four people in as many days. Won't someone have mercy on us? Condolences to family and friends.🕯️ #MyalgicEncephalomyelitis #MECFS

If anyone sees a medical drama address long Covid with anything, accurate i.e. that it’s not all in your head and it can’t be cured by working out & antidepressants LMK. This is like if 80s medical dramas ignored AIDS.
in general the near complete avoidance of covid in US TV is fascinating though. almost no show has incorporated one of the most dramatic and traumatic events in recent history into its plotlines at all! the only exception I know of was MYTHIC QUEST, which did a whole excellent lockdown special.

Of course there are academics in the Epstein files

Academia is not a natural space for radical politics, knowledge and emancipation as many pretend it is, buoyed by reactionary moral panics

It is primarily built on conservatism, hierarchies and thirst for power so this should not be surprising

We know we’ve reached an apex when awareness of complex chronic diseases (esp. Long COVID) has reached the normie, predominantly male audience. Yes, several will continue to delude themselves further and hand wave away the severity of growing cases and deaths.
But this monster is too big to fail.
Chris Williamson certain he had/has Long COVID.

"I'll beat it, it'll just take time".

"the best men are those who have been broken by life"

English eugenics is fascinating to observe. There’s something uniquely pathological in the way Brits treat the ill and disabled — those contemptuous, “poorly benefits scroungers”.
I’d guess there’s not only several historical precedents for this, but some deep geographical psychology involved.
“Fewer people chance their luck” is a grotesque way to talk about disabled people.

Many claimants cannot attend face-to-face assessments: chemo patients, housebound and bed-bound people, those with severe pain, fatigue or immune suppression.

Punching down on disabled people again.
