🧵 in a bit, but the University has essentially given the state DFL caucus the middle finger by, and I mean this literally, claiming the laws passed in the 2024 session don't mean anything. The U administration is asking the state for millions of dollars while telling them their laws are optional.
What I’ve heard a lot over the years is that state government/leg doesn’t have the best opinion of the U. Lots of reasons for this, some are unfounded, some are correct. It concerns me that it looks like state government/U leadership also seem somewhat at odds.

Good news, everyone! Turns out the new UMN $200/year athletics fee actually has nothing to do with the House settlement. To imply otherwise is, direct quote from RC, "fake news".

That travel day had everything! Allergic reaction (possibly anaphylaxis?)! 5 hour delay! Mild physical assault from a passenger followed by a flight attendant clearly thinking I was experiencing psychosis! Overnight on the floor of the airport! Gate checking! Didn't brush my teeth for 28 hours!

I'm not there live, but these DFL convention antics are eerily reminiscent of the last day of the 2024 state leg session where the Republicans shouted and chanted "USA" to try and kill the final 30 minutes
