SO! I found the solution to appeal in an old renaissance book on architectural design:
"Beauty is the state where nothing can be added or removed from the design, except to its detriment.”
Which is pretty much what I remember hearing Tyler Edlin saying as well - we just can't say beauty anymore

I just found @domo.town not too long before the wake of bsky doing dubious guidelines post. It's a great little site, reminds me of the pre-2013 art sites on the Internet. UI is great and it has categories. Highly recommend

Ah yes, dubious content guidelines that surely won't be abused in any way by the whims of mods and an unreliable auto mod system. This is a terrible, untenable move, Itch did this shit with their guidelines too. I don't draw much erotic work but I draw a lot of gory/bloody/horror NSFW stuff.

"but art should be accessible" it is, you can learn to draw, paint, collage, sculpt, make pixels. right now, starting today. art has never been more accessible monetarily nor physically than it is now in this age. access to artist labor and machine production is not an accessibility issue.
