Paramount has been an abysmal custodian of the Trek franchise. Discovery, SNW, and Lower Decks really needed a better home.
I'm among an apparent minority of people who loved discovery more than not, & among the majority who love SNW & felt that Lower Decks was some of the best Trek ever made & shouldn't have been cancelled, & i look at what paramount has done to these shows' season lengths, public faces, &c, & i just… 😮💨

IMO, this is one of the most under-acknowledged aspects of the freedom of speech discourse.
/2 See, a significant part of the "Free Speech Culture" movement is about saying "this person is standing up for the right to say things they agree with, therefore they are a free speech hero," even if they manifestly aren't in favor of free speech for other people they disagree with.
